The State Bank of Vietnam also requested its provincial and centrally-administered city branches to strengthen inspections and monitoring of the operation, security, and safety of ATM systems in their respective areas, ensuring strict compliance with the regulations in Circular No. 36/2012/TT-NHNN and Circular No. 47/2014/TT-NHNN of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, and to strictly handle violations related to ATM operations in their areas.
In addition, direct card-issuing organizations and payment organizations in the area to allocate sufficient cash to ensure adequate cash disbursement and ATM replenishment; closely monitor information and incidents related to ATM service quality reported in the media and direct relevant units to respond to the press on the results of handling the incidents, while also reporting to the State Bank of Vietnam; direct card-issuing organizations and card payment organizations in the area to increase vigilance against criminal methods and tactics and take appropriate measures to prevent and combat crime, ensuring ATM security and safety.
