(Baonghean.vn) - It is forecasted that the demand for gasoline and oil during the Lunar New Year 2023 will increase, but businesses in Nghe An are committed to ensuring enough supply for people to travel and celebrate Tet.

On the days before Tet, at a gas station in Dien Ngoc commune, districtDien Chau, motor vehicles come in and out to fill up with gas busily. The owner of this gas station said: During Tet, people's demand for gasoline increases, consuming 1,200 liters per day, our gasoline and oil supply is all provided by Nghe An Petroleum Company. Currently, there are over 10,000 liters of gasoline and oil left in the tank; when the goods are about to run out in about 2 days, Nghe An Petroleum Company will fully supply.
Mr. Dau Ngoc Long - Head of Economic - Infrastructure Department of Dien Chau district said: Dien Chau district has 86 gas stations, on this occasion the district has coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1 to inspect all retail stores in the district. Through inspection, it shows that the supply of gas in Dien Chau district is still guaranteed and stable.
Traders distribute goods in a timely manner. Therefore, gasoline and oil suppliers ensure sufficient quantity for local customers' needs. Especially gas stations in coastal areas can meet the needs of fishing boats. In case a store temporarily suspends operations, there must be a legitimate reason, a written report must be sent to the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade stating the reason for the suspension of sales, and sales can only be suspended with written approval from the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade.

According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, Nghe An's fuel consumption demand is about 50,000 - 60,000m3gasoline/month. Tet holiday consumption demandgasolinewill increase by about 15-20%. At this time, gasoline distributors in Nghe An have built plans to serve the Tet holiday and for 2023.
For Nghe An Petroleum Company, the unit has now prepared the amount of gasoline to serve the peak of Tet holiday. Mr. Cao Viet Dong - Head of Business Department, Nghe An Petroleum Company said: Nghe An Petroleum Company has found sources of goods, prepared over 100 million liters of gasoline to serve the first quarter of 2023. The Company's store system sells on time as committed to the functional sector.

In the whole province, there are nearly 700 gasoline and oil stores that have been granted certificates of eligibility to retail gasoline and oil and are still operating normally.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huong - Director of Nghe An Market Management Department said: Recently, Nghe An Market Management Department has focused its forces, coordinated with sectors and localities to strengthen inspection and closely monitor gasoline and oil trading activities in the whole province. At the same time, the organization receives information from people through hotlines, coordinates information exchange with local authorities to promptly detect and strictly handle violations, especially acts of hoarding goods, creating scarcity of gasoline supply.
In case a retail store selling gasoline or oil belonging to a unit's distribution system stops selling due to out of stock, that unit must take full responsibility and be handled according to regulations.
