Ensuring the best conditions for candidates taking the 2017 National High School Exam
(Baonghean.vn) - To prepare well for the 2017 National High School Exam, on the morning of May 11, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Nghia and members of the working delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training inspected the review work and preparation of facilities at Le Viet Thuat High School (Vinh City) and Nguyen Duy Trinh High School (Nghi Loc District) and some locations expected to print and copy exam questions.
These are two exam locations with a large number of registered candidates, with nearly 1,000 candidates taking the exam. At Le Viet Thuat High School, with over 95% of students registering for the exam to recognize graduation and apply for university admission, the school has paid great attention to review work in the past time. In addition to assigning teachers to review based on their abilities and responsibilities to students, the school has proactively divided review time into three stages, arranging classes for students of the same ability, registering for the same subject group.
Currently, the school and some high schools in the province have coordinated to organize mock exams for students. However, the implementation process still faces some difficulties and the school hopes that the Ministry of Education and Training will soon issue a directive to help the school more smoothly in the implementation process.

At Nguyen Duy Trinh High School, since March 6, the school has organized extra classes in the afternoons for students and organized two mock exams according to the scale of the National High School Exam for students. Every week, through flag-raising ceremonies and class activities, career counseling is organized and students are informed about exam regulations. At this time, the school continues to renovate classrooms, fully prepare facilities, necessary equipment and pay attention to security plans so that the exam organization is smooth and safe.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Nghia highly appreciated the efforts of schools in reviewing and preparing for the exam. In preparation for the upcoming exam, she requested that schools strengthen the review work, the implementation must be based on the voluntary spirit of students and parents, not forced to lose the image of teachers. Regarding the exam organization, schools need to pay attention to facilities and equipment, consider organizing exams for independent candidates, especially in the exam of subject groups.
At the end of the school year, it is necessary to pay attention to regular assessment, the assessment regulations must be objective, impartial, creating fairness for candidates. Schools also need to thoroughly understand the examination regulations for teachers and students, especially test-taking skills, how to do the test, and encourage students to study on their own. Parents should be thoroughly informed not to worry too much, creating pressure for candidates.

On the part of the Ministry of Education and Training, in the spirit of comments from teachers and schools, we will accept and consider to gradually adjust to help the exam take place seriously, objectively and in accordance with regulations and create the most favorable conditions for candidates during the exam.
Also on the morning of May 11, the Deputy Minister of Education and Training also inspected a number of locations expected to be used for printing and grading exam papers in the National High School Exam.
At the meeting, answering questions from school teachers about when the answer sheets for multiple-choice tests will be available and how they will be implemented, Mr. Nguyen Duy Kha - Head of the Examination Department - Department of Examination and Quality Control said: According to the plan, on May 15, the Ministry of Education and Training will issue multiple-choice test answer sheets for the combined subjects. It is expected that the answer sheets will include 120 questions for all three subjects. Candidates, after completing each test, will submit their test papers and scratch paper and only submit the answer sheets once at the end of the test. Independent candidates who only take one or two subjects in the test group will stay in the examination room to wait for the next test. Regarding the structure of the exam, this year the Ministry of Education and Training still maintains the traditional structure of arranging questions from easy to difficult, from simple to complex. This helps candidates to do the exam conveniently, especially for those who only take the exam for graduation. After two sample exams, on May 15, the Ministry of Education and Training will also announce the reference exam according to the exam structure. |
