After harvesting, the pond is drained of water and dried for 20-30 days, using 10-15kg of lime powder/sao spread over the pond surface to disinfect. Conduct water flow from the river into the settling pond system, treat the water with chlorine to ensure cleanliness and clarity while pumping water into the pond to release shrimp larvae. The settling pond accounts for about 20% of the shrimp farming area to settle sediment and treat the water source, limiting environmental pollution from water sources. From experience, some households in Quynh Di ward have had the initiative to drill wells and build water filter tanks to raise shrimp. The well water is drilled at a depth of more than 30 meters, so the salinity is less, not polluted, and limits disease sources from water pollution.

In addition to favorable weather conditions, many factors are needed: Water source, pond treatment process, breeds, food, care, disease prevention methods to help shrimp grow healthy and fast. Mr. Nguyen Van Gioi - Block Sy Tan, Quynh Di ward said: "We have to prepare ponds and treat them according to the correct technical process, and treat the water to be clean. Choosing breeds is also a decisive factor. During the farming process, we must take care of them, feed them with disease prevention medicine with biological products made from herbs, use vitamin C and additional minerals".
