Stabbed pawn shop owner to death over Iphone 4

Just because he wanted to get back the Iphone 4s that he had previously pawned, Nguyen Van Cuong (20 years old, resident of Ky Long ward, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh) used a knife to stab the pawn shop owner to death.

Ha Tinh People's Court has just opened the first instance trial of Nguyen Van Cuong (20 years old, residing in Ky Long ward, Ky Anh town) on the charge of "Murder".

According to the indictment, on March 17, 2016, Cuong met Mr. Vo Tien Dung (residing in Ky Long ward, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh) and pawned his iPhone 4s for 500,000 VND to buy crystal meth.

At around 6:30 p.m. on March 19, 2016, Mr. Dung was on his way home when he unexpectedly met Nguyen Van Cuong. Here, Cuong wanted Mr. Dung to give him the phone, but Dung refused. Mr. Dung asked Cuong to pay him in advance, but Cuong did not have the ransom money, leading to a conflict.

After a verbal exchange, Cuong took out a homemade knife and stabbed Dung to death. After committing the crime, Cuong went to the Ky Anh Town Police Station to surrender. At the first instance trial, Cuong bowed his head and admitted his crime and asked the victim's family to forgive him for his crime.

Considering that the defendant's actions were dangerous, taking the life of another person because of a trivial conflict, the Trial Panel sentenced Cuong to 17 years in prison and ordered him to compensate the victim's family 136 million VND.
