Stabbed neighbor to death for teasing about love affair

The Criminal Police Department (PC45) of the Provincial Police has just prosecuted and detained Nguyen Doan Lan (born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 3A, Hung Yen Bac Commune, Hung Nguyen District) to investigate the act of Murder.

According to the police, Nguyen Doan Lan is the suspect in the death of Nguyen Tu Hung (born 1984), who lived in the same neighborhood on the evening of July 31. Two hours after the victim died, Lan was arrested by the police at home when she had just changed out of her bloody clothes to try to escape.

Initial investigation, at around 10pm on July 31, at the cultural house of hamlet 3A, Hung Yen Bac commune, Hung Nguyen district, when everyone was preparing to leave, they heard a loud scream from outside the gate. Rushing out, resident Nguyen Tu Hung was writhing in a pool of blood. Although the victim was quickly taken to the emergency room, due to severe injuries and heavy blood loss, he died.

After receiving the information, Hung Yen Bac Commune Police sent forces to protect the scene and reported the incident to Hung Nguyen District Police. Immediately after that, the District Police sent a working group to the scene. Determining this to be a serious case, the District Police leaders directed that all measures must be taken to quickly verify and arrest the suspect before he has time to escape.

Through witness statements, investigators learned that when people ran out, they saw a figure with many similarities to Nguyen Doan Lan (a neighbor) running away in the night. People also said that about an hour before, the victim and Nguyen Doan Lan had a conflict.

The reason was that while both were watching the children practice the team ceremony at the village cultural house, Lan teased a girl about love affairs. Standing on one side, Hung also teased Lan. The two started to argue loudly, unable to control themselves, Hung punched Lan hard in the face, making her dizzy. After everyone in the village intervened, Lan went home, Hung continued to stay.

Immediately after receiving the above information, a task force quickly approached Nguyen Doan Lan's house. To prevent Lan from escaping, the detectives surrounded the house. When the police entered the house, Nguyen Doan Lan had just changed into a new set of clothes.

Seeing the police, Lan's face changed color, she was speechless. At the same time, the detectives discovered a set of bloody clothes behind the house. Nguyen Doan Lan was taken by the task force to the police station to give her statement.

Here, Nguyen Doan Lan admitted that she was the one who used a knife to stab Nguyen Tu Hung in the neck, causing his death. According to the suspect, the reason was due to a sudden conflict, so he could not control his anger.

Lan said that after being hit in the face by Hung, Lan went home with two knives (one switchblade and one kitchen knife) to decide what to do. After walking a short distance, Lan threw the kitchen knife into the ditch. When she got close to the village cultural house, Lan saw Hung riding his motorbike out of the gate, so she stopped him and asked him about the beating he had just given her.

Hearing Lan's discomfort, Mr. Hung got out of the car and punched Lan, causing her to fall to the ground. In anger, Lan pulled out a switchblade from her pocket and stabbed Mr. Hung in the neck. Because the stab wound was in a rare place, the victim lost a lot of blood and crawled a few steps to the cultural house before fainting.

When she saw Hung collapse on the street, Lan ran home to change clothes and called to find out what was going on. Knowing that Hung had died, Lan tried to escape but was arrested by the police. Based on Nguyen Doan Lan's testimony, the district police seized two knives as evidence in the case.

Currently, Nguyen Doan Lan has been handed over by Hung Nguyen District Police to the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police to serve the investigation.
