Stabbed to death the man who raped him
Tran Kim Ngan fought back fiercely after being tricked by her new online boyfriend, causing the man to die. Considering that she did not intend to kill, the prosecutor withdrew her appeal to increase her sentence.
The girl who stabbed her rapist to death has been released. The news has been spreading rapidly across newspapers and Facebook for the past two days.
The articles were shared in joy. People everywhere congratulated Tran Kim Ngan. DayOn April 10, the Procuracy changed its opinion and withdrew the appeal to increase the sentence for Ngan.
According to the representative of the Procuracy, the interrogation process of the incident has clarified that the verdict of the court of first instance - sentencing Ngan to 9 months and 16 days in prison (equal to the time in detention) for the crime of "Murder in a state of extreme emotional agitation" - is well-founded.
The High People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City has suspended the trial, upholding the verdict of the court of first instance.

After the trial, Ngan burst into tears. They were no longer the fearful tears of the quiet, reserved girl of the past. Instead, they were tears of relief, of having a burden lifted from her shoulders.
The trial lasted only 30-45 minutes, but it cost Ngan a very long time - nearly 7 months of living in fear.
That fear became even more haunting when Ngan received a court summons a month ago. Ngan could not concentrate on anything.
"I was really busy so after the trial I only had time to shake hands and congratulate you and your family but didn't have time to share the joy with everyone. So the case is closed. Happiness in your tears!" - the lawyer's words for Ngan.
From now on, Ngan is officially free. From now on, Ngan will eat well and sleep well. Ngan focuses on work and "try to forget the past".
On the evening of April 11, I met Ngan before she got on the bus to go home with her parents. The girl was still "fragile", her voice was still as soft as the last time we met.
"Touching that matter is touching pain. Whenever it is mentioned, I can never control myself. Ngan tried to forget it, but yesterday the court kept asking me over and over again. Ngan never wants to mention it again." - Ngan said before getting in the car.
Saying goodbye to Ngan, I can only hope that people will not remember Ngan for her days in prison. But remember a Tran Kim Ngan who stood up after the storms of her youth.
A girl from the countryside came to the city and when she was pushed down, she used all her strength to keep her body clean. Surely that girl will stand up firmly!
So, after all, Ngan returned safely to life.
Stabbed to death the man who raped him
According to the case file, in September 2016, Ngan and Luong Dich Lan (25 years old) met through social media. After three months, Lan texted and asked her out. Ngan agreed to meet and get to know each other.
At about 9:30 p.m. on November 30, 2016, Lan went to the motel on Hau Giang Street, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City, and took Ngan to the empty lot behind Hue Nghiem Pagoda, District 2 to talk.
When they got to the back of the temple, Lan stopped the bike, took off his helmet and mask, then suddenly hugged and kissed Ngan. Ngan reacted and pushed him away, but Lan continued to rush forward. Ngan pushed him away again and left. Lan still used force to kiss Ngan.
Lan ran after Ngan and pushed her down onto the grass, sat on her stomach, used his hands to pull her shirt over her chest, and unbuckled her belt.
Ngan struggled, wriggled, and screamed, but Lan covered her mouth. Lan pulled out a knife and threatened her.
While struggling with Ngan, the knife blade stabbed Lan in the stomach. At that moment, Ngan bit Lan's left hand, grabbed the knife and ran away. But after only a few steps, Lan ran after her, grabbed Ngan's left hand and pulled her back. As Ngan turned around, the knife stabbed Lan.
After committing the crime, Ngan walked out onto the street to tell passersby about the incident and asked for a taxi to take her back to her rented room. Lan tried to ride his motorbike out onto the main road to call for help but crashed into a fence and died shortly afterwards.
In the first instance trial, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy proposed Ngan be sentenced to 7-8 years in prison for "murder".
However, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court changed the charge from "murder" to "murder in a state of extreme emotional agitation" and sentenced Ngan to 9 months and 12 days in prison.
After the first instance verdict, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy appealed to change the charge from "murder in a state of extreme emotional agitation" to "murder" with a penalty of 7-15 years in prison.
