Iran nuclear negotiations: No guarantee of a final agreement.
(Baonghean.vn) - Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on April 9 that there is still no guarantee of a final agreement with world powers on the country's nuclear program.

Earlier, President Hassan Rouhani had stated that Iran would not sign the final agreement unless sanctions were lifted "on the first day" the agreement was implemented.
Last week, Iran and world powers reached a framework agreement on this issue.
Since then, Iranian and American officials have tried to persuade conservatives in both countries to support the agreement.
This agreement stipulates that Iran must reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium, which could be used to make nuclear weapons, and cut its centrifuges by more than two-thirds.
In return, UN sanctions and unilateral measures imposed by the US and EU would be lifted if the global nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), certified Iran's compliance.
In a statement on his website, Khamenei said, "It is possible that the unreliable faction (of the six world powers that negotiated the agreement) wants to impose a complete embargo on Iran."

"I was never optimistic about negotiating with the U.S. However, I still agree with these particular agreements and support the negotiators."
Khamenei also echoed Rouhani's remarks earlier on Thursday regarding possible agreements.
"We will not sign the agreement unless we are immediately relieved of all economic sanctions on the first day of the agreement's implementation," Rouhani said.
Rouhani's remarks signal a shift in stance from Western powers, which had previously said that the lifting of restrictions would be gradual and conditional.
On Monday, April 6th, US officials made it clear that sanctions would be lifted in stages.
The U.S. State Department released what it considered to be the parameters of the aforementioned agreement, one of which stated: "If at any time Iran fails to fulfill its commitments, sanctions will be reimposed immediately."
This agreement was supported by many Iranians, but conservatives rejected it, saying that Iran had sacrificed too much for little in return.
Similarly, some members of the US Congress have expressed skepticism about the agreement, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has voiced strong opposition.
