Driver dies after crashing into the back of a truck.

(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 9:45 PM on June 7th, a serious traffic accident occurred on National Highway 46 in Hamlet 3, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District (Nghe An Province), resulting in one fatality.

According to initial information, at the time of the incident, a car with license plate 37N – 8141, driven by Pham Van Thanh (31 years old, residing in Block 3, Nghi Huong Ward, Cua Lo Town, Nghe An Province), was traveling at high speed on National Highway 46 in the direction of Vinh – Cua Lo when it suddenly lost control and crashed into the rear of a truck with license plate 37C – 005.00 carrying a full load of glue that was traveling ahead.

The impact was so strong that the front of the car became embedded in the acacia trees. After the collision, the truck carrying the acacia trees dragged the car for more than 30 meters before stopping.

At the scene, the front of the car was stuck to the acacia trees at the rear of the truck, completely deformed. Mr. Thanh was trapped inside the car and was rescued by rescue forces and local people using electric cutting tools, but he had already died.

The truck suffered a flat tire on the right side, and the rear of the vehicle sustained minor damage. After the accident, the truck driver quickly left the scene.

Because the car was stuck to the back of the truck, retrieving the victim's body proved difficult. It wasn't until 11:30 PM that day that rescue teams were able to retrieve Mr. Thanh's body from the vehicle.

By 1 AM this morning (June 8th), traffic police of Nghi Loc district had finished examining the scene and brought the two vehicles involved in the accident to the police station to investigate the cause of the accident.
