The male singer had to go to the hospital to get 6 stitches for the wound caused by an iron rod piercing his calf when he fell from the stage during the "Diamond show" rehearsal on the evening of September 30.
At around 9pm tonight, after finishing a performance and preparing to leave the stage, Dam Vinh Hung accidentally fell into a hole backstage. An iron bar pierced his left leg, causing a long, deep gash that bled profusely. Despite the pain, he still spoke up to reassure the crew not to worry too much. Dam Vinh Hung received first aid on the spot, then was taken to the hospital to have his wound stitched.

The accident made the crew worried because in the live show, he had many performances that required impressive movements and choreography. Director Tran Vi My - the person who staged "Diamond show" - burst into tears when she saw Dam Vinh Hung gritting his teeth and enduring the pain. Before that, this director also slipped and fell into the hole and suffered scratches.
Singer Thanh Thao was on her way home after rehearsing with Dam Vinh Hung. When she heard the news, she went to the hospital to visit him. The singer said he had nearly ten stitches. "He was in a lot of pain but told us that he was still determined to sing and dance in the live show," she said.
A crew member said that Dam Vinh Hung asked the doctor to find a strong pain reliever for him so that he could continue dancing and singing as scheduled tomorrow. Immediately after his wound was bandaged, he returned to the stage to complete the final steps for the live show with the crew.
