Truck driver dies after being rescued after being trapped in cabin after crashing into tanker truck
(Baonghean.vn) - The accident occurred between a scrap metal truck and a cement tanker moving in the South - North direction, causing the front of the truck to be crushed, the driver to be trapped in the cabin.
The accident occurred on National Highway 1A, in Quynh Xuan ward, Hoang Mai town. According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020, at the location above, the tanker with license plate 37R-016.79 was stopped at a red light when it was hit from behind by a truck with license plate 37N-1243.

The strong collision crushed the front of the truck, trapping the driver in the cabin. The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police dispatched Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 4 and No. 9, dispatched vehicles and 12 officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy rescue teams.
Professional rescue forces used specialized equipment to separate the deformed cabin that was pressing on the victim, and brought the trapped truck driver out and handed him over to emergency medical forces.
However, when the truck driver (born in 1975) was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, the victim had died. The accident caused serious traffic congestion at the intersection, but fortunately, there was no fuel fire when it spilled onto the road. The cause of the accident is being clarified by the authorities.
