Damascus takes control of 3 provinces with Russian air support
With the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Damascus took control of Es-Suwayda, Deraa and Quneitra provinces, Commander of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Sergei Rudskoy said at a press conference.

"During the operation, supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Syrian armed forces completely destroyed the IS* and Jabhat en-Nusra* gangs, took control of the Es-Suwayda, Deraa and Quneitra provinces," - Sergei Rudskoy said.
Servicemen of General Hassan Suhel and units of the 4th Armored Division of the Russian Army destroyed the last stronghold of the IS* terrorist group in the western part of Quneitra province in the areas of Qusayr, El-Qui and El Garga, Rudskoy said at a press conference.
Mr. Rudskoy added that as a result of the operation in southwestern Syria, Damascus took control of 146 settlements, of which 50 passed to the government side.Syria peacefully through negotiations.
A representative of the Russian General Staff said that during the rapid advance of the Syrian army and militias in the area of \u200b\u200bmilitary reinforcements in Qusayr, more than 160 members of IS* gangs were surrounded and surrendered.
