Villagers contribute bamboo to build a house for the wife and children of the man swept away by flood.
(Baonghean.vn) – Sharing the difficulties of Vi Thi Thiem and her children – whose husband was swept away by floodwaters in October this year, the people and organizations of Luc Da commune (Con Cuong) supported the family to rebuild the kitchen.
On December 19-20, 2017, the Women's Union, the people of Luc Son village and the Youth Union of Luc Da commune (Luc Da) organized to rebuild the kitchen for the family of Ms. Vi Thi Thiem. Ms. Thiem is the wife of Mr. Ngan Van Nui - who was swept away by flood waters while crossing a stream in early October 2017.

After her husband passed away, Ms. Vi Thi Thiem had to raise 3 children alone. Life was extremely difficult and poor. The kitchen was about to collapse and there was no money to rebuild it. In the face of the situation of Ms. Thiem and her children, two people from the same commune who were working far away raised 4 million VND to help buy corrugated cement roofing sheets and concrete pillars.

Women, villagers of Luc Son and the Youth Union of Luc Da commune donated materials (bamboo) and labor to help Thiem and her children rebuild the kitchen to make family life more convenient. This action demonstrates the solidarity and sharing of the village and local organizations with those in difficult and unfortunate circumstances.
