Ms. Lo Thi Tuong, born in 1927, one of the oldest people in Tong Chai village, said: According to my father, when he was still alive, he saw this mango tree when he was young. If my father were still alive, he would be over 100 years old, so if the mango tree had been there before when my father was young, this tree would definitely be over 100 years old.
According to Mr. Tuong, the mango tree has a strange vitality, going through many changes over time, but it never breaks, but still grows well.
In addition, it is said that in the past, this land was densely forested, with many tigers and leopards. At that time, mango trees had a lot of fruit, but no one picked them. When they were ripe, they fell to the ground, so the pigs in the village came here to eat and were eaten by tigers. Over time, the mango tree became more and more sacred, associated with many interesting stories about the process of building the village.
