Hon Dat is a film directed by Hong Sen in 1983, adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Anh Duc. The film depicts the fierce battle in early 1961 between the Hon Dat guerrillas (Kien Giang) with only rudimentary weapons on one side and the Saigon army and American advisors on the other.In the life-and-death confrontation, Hon Dat soldiers bravely overcame difficulties to defeat all enemy plots with the support of farmers.The cast of the film at that time left their mark with their natural acting on screen.

The actress had to take a year off from teaching, accept being away from her children, endure hardship and pain to complete the scenes of being tortured by the enemy. After the film, artist Hiep Dinh decided to keep the long hair associated with the image of Ms. Su in the film. She received many acting invitations after that, but her busy teaching job made her unable to participate. The actress is now retired. She lives happily with her family in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
