The cast of “Quynh Doll” was bruised from being beaten for real, exhausted from the rape scene.

In the movie, most of the actors were really beaten. Actor Trong Lan (playing Phong)shared that after the scene where he was tied up and his leg was broken in the movie, his body was almost numb, it took a long time to stand up. Even though he had leg protection, because he was beaten with a stick on his real leg, Trong Lan still felt pain for a long time.

However, Phuong Oanh (Quynh) was the actress who was beaten the most. The actress shared that during the whole filming, her body was bruised, the old wound had not yet healed, and new wounds appeared. Many times, she had to take painkillers to continue filming.

In the newly aired episode 22, just like the character Quynh, Phuong Oanh was almost out of breath and dizzy when performing the scene of being beaten by 3 people in jealousy. In this scene, Phuong Oanh was really beaten and slapped, she had to re-shoot it 3-4 times. This was also the most horrible scene that Phuong Oanh had ever experienced during the process of making “Quynh doll”. She was almost exhausted and collapsed after the scene of being beaten by jealousy on screen.

Actress Thu Quynh, who plays My "wolf", is no exception. In episode 11, My "wolf" was beaten up by Canh (Doan Quoc Dam). The behind-the-scenes clip revealed by the crew later showed that Thu Quynh was actually beaten by Doan Quoc Dam to make the scene as realistic as possible. Right after the director called cut, Doan Quoc Dam asked and apologized to Thu Quynh for hurting his co-star.

Quynh Kool, the actress who plays Dao, also suffered the same fate. While acting out the rape scene, her male co-star slapped her hard on the head and face at the request of director Mai Hong Phong, leaving the 9X actress pale. In this scene, Quynh Kool had to act out a struggle with her co-star, so she was almost exhausted. She shared that it took the first 2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Similar to the scene where My 'wolf' was fighting with her, Quynh Kool also received real slaps from Thu Quynh.

“There were scenes that had to be filmed several times, with 15-16 slaps to the face. That was the scene where Dao was beaten by My 'wolf'. Because the scenes had to be real, there was a time when I was slapped so far down the neck that it hurt so much that I couldn't move. Every time she finished slapping me, Thu Quynh hugged me and apologized,” Quynh Kool shared with VietNamNet about the behind-the-scenes of the scene that will be aired soon.

Thanh Huong, the actress who plays Lan 'cave' in the film, was not only bruised on screen but also ragged because of her role. In episode 18, when she was acting in a gang rape scene, she was almost exhausted and fainted because she was so tired. In the scene where her brother stuffed rice into her mouth in episode 23, Thanh Huong shared that her tongue was burned because the newly cooked rice was too hot.

It can be said that there has never been a TV series where the actors were beaten as real as in "Quynh Doll". However, it was because of their dedication to their roles and their acceptance of pain that made their characters more convincing to the audience and not fake like most other TV series.
