Thuy Van, Tu Anh, Huyen My... all encountered unforgettable incidents while pursuing a thorny and difficult journalism career.

Having won prestigious titles at the Miss Vietnam pageant, many beauty queens and runners-up have pursued journalism careers. Currently, many beauties are pursuing careers as MCs and editors at television stations.

Not as glamorous as participating in glamorous showbiz events, journalism requires commitment and sacrifice, so although there are many beauties who turn to journalism, not everyone is persistent enough to pursue it.

Runner-up Thuy Van

Thuy Van was born in 1986 and won the second runner-up title at the Miss Vietnam 2008 contest. At that time, she had graduated from Hanoi Foreign Trade University and had worked for Vietnam Television for a while.

As an experienced MC and editor, Thuy Van has also encountered some memorable incidents during her decade-long career. In 2018, while hosting the show Chuyen Dong 24h, Thuy Van accidentally stepped on her ao dai and fell.

Despite the incident, Thuy Van still handled it very professionally.

The unexpected fall made Thuy Van panic, however, with her many years of experience, she quickly regained her composure and continued hosting as if nothing had happened. The audience expressed their admiration for Thuy Van's professional handling of the situation.

After the incident, she shared: "That was a memorable memory with Thuy Van in a very important program celebrating September 2. I woke up early in the morning to prepare a beautiful ao dai, put on gorgeous makeup to appear on camera with BTV Thu Huong, but the result was a fall of a lifetime."

Duong Tu Anh, born in 1993, won the first runner-up title at the Miss Vietnam 2012 pageant while she was a student at the Academy of Journalism and Communication. After the pageant, despite being a famous face in showbiz, Tu Anh was still determined to pursue journalism as her major.

Tu Anh used to be an MC and an editor for VTV24 News Center of Vietnam Television. She scored points for her gentle beauty and charming, intelligent way of speaking. However, throughout her career, Tu Anh could not avoid memorable incidents.

In the program For Vietnamese stature aired in 2016, after reading the news, the camera turned away so Tu Anh was skipping around carefree. But then, the TV screen suddenly switched to the studio, causing her carefree moment to be broadcast on television.

Despite the unfortunate incident, Tu Anh still received sympathy from the public.

However, most of the audience thought that this action was quite cute so they did not find fault with the runner-up. Sharing after the incident, Tu Anh said that the incident happened unintentionally so she hoped that viewers would forgive her. She also expressed hope that her actions would not affect the show's crew.

Runner-up Huyen My

Huyen My was born in 1995 in Hanoi and won the first runner-up title at the Miss Vietnam 2014 contest. After the contest, she became a famous face in showbiz and appeared on many large and small catwalks.

However, right in the first recording session, Huyen My encountered an "unbearable" wardrobe malfunction. Huyen My's wardrobe style is mainly sexy or personality-oriented. Therefore, finding a suitable outfit to wear on air is a difficult problem.
