The International Military-Technical Exhibition (Army) 2017 was held by Russia from August 22 to 27 at Patriot Park, on the outskirts of Moscow. Russia's cutting-edge armored trio, the T-14 Armata main battle tank, the Kurganets-25 infantry fighting vehicle and the Bumerang armored personnel carrier, are among the highlights of Army-2017. These vehicles are being painted in a new, never-before-seen camouflage color for the first time. |

The Typhoon-K mine-resistant ambush-resistant (MRAP) vehicle is displayed with a remote-controlled machine gun mount, along with new-generation equipment for Russian infantry and engineers. This is one of the weapons that Russia has deployed for testing on the Syrian battlefield. |

The BTR-87 is a new upgrade package from the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier platform, intended for export to countries currently using the BTR-70 and BTR-80 series. In addition to the automatic turret equipped with a 30mm cannon, the BTR-87 is also equipped with 4 anti-tank guided missiles, increasing the maximum firepower of this vehicle. |

The Gibka-S short-range air defense system is a combination of a man-portable missile launcher and a Tigr multipurpose vehicle chassis. The Gibka-S can use Igla-S or Verba missiles, Russia's most modern man-portable air defense missiles today. |

9K333 "Verba" (SA-25) is a man-portable air defense missile system developed to replace the 9K38 "Igla" in Russian service. The latest feature of this system is a multispectral optical seeker, which uses three sensors to receive ultraviolet, near-infrared and mid-infrared signals, instead of just two sensors like the Igla-S model. This makes the Verba missile more difficult to fool with decoys, as well as the seeker cannot be blinded by lasers. The missile can destroy targets at a distance of 6.5 km and an altitude of 4.5 km. The 1.5 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead is capable of destroying many types of small aircraft and UAVs. The system is also equipped with an infrared sight to detect targets at night. |
 |
In addition to modern armored tanks, the Russian army also brought older tank models such as the T-72B3 and T-80U. |
 |
The airborne forces use light armored vehicles with powerful firepower, such as the BMD-4M, BTR-3F infantry fighting vehicles and 2S25 "Sprut-SD" self-propelled guns. |

KRET Group brings many modern electronic warfare systems, capable of disabling enemy electronic equipment within a radius of tens of kilometers. |

The Mi-28UB attack helicopter version was brought to the exhibition. This is an improved version of the Mi-28NE "Night Hunter" model, equipped with more modern defense systems and missiles. Russia plans to bring the Mi-28UB to the test fire on the Syrian battlefield in the near future. A new feature of the Mi-28UB version is that both pilots have full control of the aircraft. With conventional attack helicopters, the pilot in the back controls the aircraft while the person in the front uses the weapons systems, the two cannot do each other's work. |
