Militia helps highlanders move houses away from areas at risk of landslides
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2 days, 115 militia soldiers from 7/21 communes and towns in Ky Son district gathered to help families in areas at risk of landslides to safety.

According to statistics from the PCTT - TKCN Committee, currently in Ky Son district, there are 575 houses that must be relocated, including locations in: block 4 of Muong Xen town, Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, Na My, Vang Phao, Xop Phe, Xop Tip, Ta Do villages of Muong Tip commune, Xop Phong village, Muong Ai commune and Nam Tip Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities - where more than 320 students are living and studying.
“Currently, the district is looking for many options to relocate households and public works. However, the relocation process is still slow, due to lack of funds and land to arrange stable resettlement areas.”

In the immediate future, Ky Son district has directed local authorities affected by landslides to build tents for people to take shelter; allocate local funds to support people. At the same time, it has sent forces to help households at high and serious risk of landslides to move to safer places. Along with that, the district has also promoted and encouraged people to proactively move when it rains to avoid possible risks.
Hanh Dich Border Guard Station helps people overcome the consequences of tornadoes
On March 29, Hanh Dich Border Post, Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with the local government of Hanh Dich Commune - Que Phong to help people in Bom On village overcome the consequences of damage caused by a tornado on the afternoon of March 28.
Heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes and gusts of wind directly affected households in Bom On village, Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district. Heavy rain caused 18 houses in the village to have their tiled roofs and Pro roofing sheets blown off, and many fruit trees and timber trees were broken by gusts of wind. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.
