Proud to be the first Bank Branch in Uncle Ho's hometown (established on May 27, 1957), Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development, Nghe An Branch (BIDV Nghe An) has accompanied and developed with the hometown and the BIDV family with many positive and important contributions in effectively implementing the policies, goals and tasks of the Party and State, contributing to the socio-economic development in the area. And the mark left in the journey over the years for the BIDV Nghe An Party Committee is to implement solidarity and democracy according to the ideology, style and morality of Ho Chi Minh.

The Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term clearly stated the development direction as "Continuing to innovate strongly and synchronously, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, promoting the strength of solidarity, democracy, discipline, building a strong and comprehensively developed BIDV Nghe An"; in which, regarding the Party building work, "Innovating the work of educating ethics, lifestyle, educating the revolutionary traditions of the homeland, the country and the traditions of the Industry; regularly implementing Directive No. 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting and studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh".

In recent years, BIDV Nghe An Party Committee has strongly responded to the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", especially the content of "implementing solidarity and democracy" in all activities, thereby leading the construction and effective implementation of political tasks assigned by superiors.
Under favorable operating conditions under the direct leadership of the BIDV Party Committee, with a high spirit of solidarity and unity among all staff, Nghe An branch has achieved a number of special achievements such as: Being a party base that has achieved the title of outstanding strong for many consecutive years. Being a branch with a capital mobilization and credit scale of over 18 trillion and over 25 trillion VND respectively, ranking first/second in the BIDV cluster in the North Central region as well as the banking system in the area; being a group of branches leading the region in implementing digital transformation development of customer base, being a branch with many initiatives at the BIDV system level. In addition, as the focal branch of 4 BIDV branches in Nghe An, Nghe An branch is a bridge between BIDV and Nghe An province in investment and social security activities, making important contributions to the development of local socio-economy.

To achieve these results, the Party Executive Committee has drawn lessons in leadership, management and compliance:
Promoting the role of leaders and the democratic spirit of party members and cadres
The Party Executive Committee and Party Cell regularly disseminate: Each member, especially the leaders in the Board of Directors and leaders of departments, must clearly understand their personal responsibilities, fulfill well the tasks assigned by the collective and adhere to the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership and individual responsibility; The leader must always set an example, always criticize himself objectively, from work to life, not avoid, and have a strict attitude towards his own shortcomings, defects and limitations.
Each cadre and party member must be deeply aware that they themselves are members of a collective, must place themselves in the collective and listen to the opinions of other members, have the responsibility to speak and act for the common good; at the same time, must obey the decisions of the collective. All activities related to the resources and business operations of the branch are discussed openly, transparently, and respect collective opinions.
Leaders at all levels always seek opinions from colleagues in many forms: meetings, direct dialogue, emails, letters, telephone calls... always close, open, listening and taking timely actions that satisfy staff, in cases where they cannot resolve the issue, there are clear, objective and satisfactory reasons.
For staff, always strive to improve moral qualities and professional capacity, have a progressive spirit, overcome all difficulties to complete the tasks of themselves, their department and the branch in the best way.

In personnel management, the planning, rotation and appointment of staff are always carried out in accordance with the procedures. Staff evaluation is always objective and honest, from the department level up to the Board of Directors as well as the Party Committee, through clear and specific criteria, the most important of which are the moral qualities and professional capacity of each person.
In the branch, all staff always trust the branch leadership, the departments are always close-knit and coordinate with each other very well, and accordingly, the interests of each staff are guaranteed, each staff always clearly sees their responsibilities and obligations to the organization and agency.
Innovation in working style and leadership style
A scientific, democratic and professional working style is essential for all cadres from leaders to employees. In today's era, it is a process in which cadres must always renew themselves, constantly improve their personality, constantly modernize, update new trends of the times, become an advanced leading part, creating a spreading effect in the collective.
For leaders, manners and styles are not only meaningful to each individual but also represent the leadership culture of the branch. Therefore, at BIDV Nghe An, the key staff all have the right attitude, democratic style, dedicated and responsible working spirit, thereby gaining the trust of subordinates. The Party Committee always directs the Party cells, professional departments, trade unions, and youth unions in the branch to consider the building of a scientific, democratic, and professional manner and style of work as an important task. That is to clearly define the responsibilities and tasks assigned to departments, offices, and staff; ensuring no overlap or omission of tasks.
At BIDV Nghe An, in addition to the Board of Directors, there are 21 departments, including 15 departments in the direct business sector and 6 departments in the support operations sector. The assignment and arrangement of work in each department and division always ensures rationality and science, creating conditions for subordinate cadres and party members to maximize their capacity and strengths, and effectively carry out political tasks. Focus on performing tasks in a strict and scientific manner with the motto of clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear responsibility and clear results. All work has a focal department/focal officer to implement and there is always a comrade in the Board of Directors/Party Committee in charge and responsible. Thanks to that, all activities at the branch are always smooth, timely, effective, bringing customers the highest satisfaction; the branch and its cadres are trusted by customers and highly appreciated for their professionalism.
Awakening the desire for innovation
Continue to implement and improve political and ideological education for staff on the responsibilities, tasks, and ideals of staff and party members in performing assigned tasks. In addition to political and ideological education, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors always have plans and training programs for staff to improve their professional capacity and equip them with soft skills to meet their tasks with the motto "dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility" for the common goal.

In order to build a team of cadres with the desire to contribute, the Party Committee always directs the Board of Directors and department leaders to always be exemplary, promote responsibility, guide and create all favorable conditions and environments as well as have adequate motivational mechanisms for cadres. The Party Executive Committee always directs mass organizations to respond to the emulation movement of learning and innovation in the entire branch, promote initiatives to increase labor productivity, in line with the development trend of the market, and meet the needs of digital banking development. In this term alone, there have been over 61 branch-level initiatives and 15 system-level initiatives. These initiatives not only serve the work at the branch but also have the effect of spreading to many BIDV branches, are highly appreciated by the BIDV Scientific Council, and are praised and trusted by other branches.
In the work of cadre management, the Party Committee always relies on three core factors: "Body - Mind - Spirit", from the selection stage to the arrangement of cadres with the right capacity and expertise; always focuses on training and fostering the Youth Union force, relying on the strengths of the young generation, which are health, pure morality, intelligence, well-trained, and those who absorb and apply advanced science in the best way. The work of evaluating cadres is always based on the results and effectiveness of work according to assigned responsibilities and tasks. With nearly 200 cadres, it is inevitable that there are still some cadres who are conservative, stagnant, have a mentality of avoiding responsibility, working based on experience, are afraid to learn new knowledge, and blame their age...
Faced with that situation, Party committees at all levels have directed organizations to take measures to educate and encourage in many forms to promote cadres, including calling for the spirit of setting an example, continuously learning and imparting experiences from older cadres and Party members. Each cadre and Party member must feel proud and honored to work in BIDV Nghe An branch, showing them their position, role and contribution to the overall results of the branch and the industry. From there, we can build the spirit and effort in completing assigned tasks, overcoming difficulties; being proactive and creative in carrying out assigned tasks.

The staff at the branch mostly have university degrees, of which 40% have master's degrees. Under the direction of the Party Committees at all levels, the labor emulation movement has always been widely supported by the staff. Many "business stars" have appeared and created a positive ripple effect, thereby both surpassing business targets and increasing the supply of BIDV products to a large number of customers. Not only that, Nghe An Branch is always one of the leading branches in professional and cultural competitions organized by BIDV.
In August 2024, at the "Cultural Ambassador" contest at the North Central region level, BIDV Nghe An Branch surpassed 17 branches to win the first prize for the whole group, including young party member Pham Thanh Trung who won the first prize individually, union member Nguyen Quynh Anh won the third prize individually, and will continue to compete at the system level in the coming time. This is one of the outstanding examples demonstrating the desire for innovation and creativity among BIDV Nghe An staff.
With a history of 67 years, BIDV Nghe An Party members and cadres have worked hard to build and cultivate good and humane cultural values. Inheriting and promoting that fine tradition, BIDV Nghe An Party members and cadres today are determined to carry out Uncle Ho's teachings on personnel management to build a united bloc, creating great strength with the aspiration to contribute to building BIDV into a strong bank not only domestically but also internationally.
