Nghe An Provincial Party Committee opens traditional sports tournament

(Baonghean.vn) – On the evening of September 9, at Vinh City Gymnasium, the Party Committee of Nghe An Province's agencies organized the opening ceremony of the 2016 traditional sports tournament.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; many athletes and sponsors of the tournament.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong presented flowers to athletes participating in the tournament.

The 2016 traditional sports tournament was held to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of the Party Committee of Nghe An province (September 22, 1954 - September 22, 2016), promote the physical training movement, and create a healthy playground for exchange and learning between units in the provincial agency block.

This year's tournament has more than 600 athletes from agencies and units in the bloc.

Comrade Hoang Van Nhien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee, opened the traditional sports tournament.

Organizing the annual traditional sports tournament shows the attention of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the block, the Party Committee and the leaders of the agencies and units for the sports movement in provincial agencies.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee started the table tennis competitions.
