The Party Congress of the Army passed a resolution, defining the goal of building a "revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern" Army one term earlier than expected.

General Secretary To Lam: The Party Committee of the Army and the entire army have well implemented '2 steadfastness, 2 promotion and 2 prevention'

The General Secretary affirmed that the Party, State and people always trust and have great expectations for the Vietnam People's Army; he hopes that the Party Committee of the Army and the entire army need to "converge in solidarity, gather will, gather talent and gather strength".
The 14th National Congress of the Party will have 1,588 delegates attending.

According to the Communist Party of Vietnam Information Portal, General Secretary To Lam recently signed and issued Decision No. 341 on the number and allocation of delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.
