According to Politico.com, the US Republican National Committee (RNC) is reviewing its strategy this weekend while its lawyers study the legal aspects of nominating someone else to replace Donald Trump in the race for the White House.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said on Tuesday night that Trump’s public criticism from Republicans would bury the GOP’s remaining chances of winning, a panelist said. He added that the RNC would have 48 hours to reassess its campaign strategy.
Meanwhile, lawyers are exploring the possibility of nominating another candidate despite the fact that there is only a month left before the official election, with ballots already printed and early elections already held in some states.
Rule 9 of the RNC allows for a new nominee to be nominated if the current candidate voluntarily declines or unexpectedly dies.
"The problem is that he (Mr. Trump) can only be replaced if he drops out of the race or dies. And Mr. Trump announced today that he has no intention of dropping out," said a key Republican.
Previously, the Washington Post published a video in which Mr. Trump bragged that he could grope women without being punished and that he had tried to have sex with a married woman, along with many other vulgar statements about women.
Chairman of the US Senate Armed Services Committee, influential Republican Senator John McCain as well as the Republican Party's 2016 Vice Presidential running mate, Mr. Mike Pence, on October 8 officially withdrew their decision to support Mr. Donald Trump./.
