Incense offering ceremony at Lang Vac Temple

The Lang Vac archaeological site was discovered by archaeologists in the early 1970s. Through numerous excavations, artifacts, relics, and sites related to the Dong Son culture and people have been unearthed. Currently, the site still preserves many ceramic and bronze artifacts, including bronze drums, from the agricultural communities of the time of the Hung Kings who founded the nation.

In 2010, Thai Hoa town organized a ceremony to unveil the statue of King Hung; the bronze statue of King Hung was cast in a traditional craft village in Yen Yen district, Nam Dinh province. After the ceremonial announcement at Hung Temple (Phu Tho), the bronze statue of King Hung was carried to Lang Vac Temple.

The organization of the incense offering ceremony at Lang Vac Temple demonstrates the noble gesture of "drinking water, remembering the source," commemorating the merits of our ancestors, and at the same time aims to enhance the status and stature of a spiritual site and a national-level archaeological site. This activity is directed towards Hung Temple on the Hung King's Commemoration Day, March 10th, this year.
