The Copyright Office (Ministry of Culture - Sports - Tourism) has officially granted copyright to the work "Article on improving the national language" by Associate Professor - Dr. Bui Hien.

This certificate states “The Copyright Office certifies that the work isArticle on improving the national language, type: written work, author, owner Bui Hien has registered copyright at the Copyright Office".

It can be said that this is the first work on innovative writing to be certified as copyrighted.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hien explained: “The reason I registered the copyright is to prevent the distortion of some people who disagree with my work. It is not because I am afraid that my work will be stolen that I registered. In fact, after the press reported on this research, some people used my words to distort the verses in the poem.Tale of Kieu, but they wrote it wrong. At the same time, they used my own words to curse me, and made up arguments to harm me. Therefore, I had to register so that my improved words would not be distorted for bad purposes.

According to Associate Professor Hien, he adaptedTale of Kieuis to experience my improved writing in a major work first, then send it to friends to read and ask for their comments.

“This is a work of artistic value in Vietnamese literature, so almost everyone knows it. With the love for good six-eight verses, readers may also want to try to approach this new word through the work. Let's say I adapt a short story or poem that few people know or like, then fewer people will want to experience it,” Associate Professor Hien further explained.

Before deciding to use this work, Associate Professor Hien said he had anticipated all the objections. Certainly, many people thought that the improved writing would destroy the flexibility, sophistication and aesthetics in each beautiful and good verse, but Dr. Hien affirmed that this writing did not change the content or ideas of the work at all, it was just a new form of expression.

“Therefore, those who intentionally say that I have ruined a Vietnamese classic are wrong. I only adapted and printed it to test what I have researched within the framework of a personal scientific project. If it is considered reasonable to be popularized, then there must be another process decided by the state,” Associate Professor Hien said.

He also said, afterTale of Kieu, he has no intention of adapting any other work because for experimentation, this one work is enough.
