University Admission Registration 2016: Milestones to Remember

No later than July 25, the Examination Councils will announce the results of the 2016 National High School Exam so that candidates can register for university and college admission.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, by July 20 at the latest, exam clusters must complete grading.

After the exam clusters finish marking the papers, they will have to update the National High School Exam Management System so that the Ministry of Education and Training can check and compare it with the data stored at the exam council.

The Ministry will then forward the results to the local Departments of Education and Training so that universities and colleges can announce them to candidates. Only then will universities and colleges conduct the admission process.

No later than July 25: Examination Councils will announce the results of the 2016 National High School Exam.

No later than July 27: High school principals will issue temporary graduation certificates, return transcripts and certificates (originals) to candidates.

No later than July 30: Send exam result certificates and receive candidates' appeal applications.

Before August 8: Examination councils must organize exam review and complete graduation recognition after review.

From August 1-12, 2016: Universities and colleges begin accepting applications for the first round of admission. Candidates can only apply to a maximum of 2 schools, with no more than 2 majors per school. Candidates cannot change their application for the school or major they have applied for during the admission round.

Before August 25: Announce the admission scores for the first choice.

From August 25 to September 15: Consider additional admissions for the first round. Announce admission scores for additional admissions for the first round before September 20.

From September 20 to October 5: Consider additional admission requests for the second round. Announce results before October 10.

From October 10 to October 25: Consider additional admission requests for the third round. Announce results before October 31. Additional admission requests for the fourth round end before November 20.

Note, this year, schools organizing admission exams for candidates who register using the results of the National High School Exam must announce the method of receiving registration and admission fees.

Candidates can submit their application and application fee online or by post via express mail. The school may prescribe additional methods for receiving applications and application fees from candidates in accordance with actual conditions, but not causing difficulties, costs for candidates and social concerns.

For candidates applying to schools that recruit students by group (GX), the registration fee for one school is 30,000 VND; for two or more schools, it is 60,000 VND. Candidates can go to any member school of the GX group to pay the fee. If candidates live far away and cannot come to the school to pay in person, they can pay by post in the application sent to the schools.

In addition, the GX group also opened a bank account. This account is only active from July 31 to August 15, 2016. Therefore, candidates and their families can transfer money to that account.

On the other hand, candidates can use the services of network operators so that candidates can pay that fee. Thus, all methods from traditional to modern are implemented by the GX group to facilitate candidates to pay the registration fee./.
