(Baonghean.vn) -The police in Thai Hoa town are investigating a case of "illegal trafficking of narcotics" involving Vo Thi Hoai Thuong, 27 years old, residing in Quang Phong ward, Thai Hoa town.

Earlier, at 4 PM on July 10, 2013, the Hoa Hieu Ward Police in Thai Hoa town received a report that two individuals were illegally possessing narcotics. Drug enforcement officers from the town's police force promptly arrived at the scene.

The subject is Vo Thi Hoai Thuong

A quick verification identified the suspects as Nguyen Huu Tuan (25 years old) and Vu Thanh Cong (27 years old), both residing in Thai Hoa town.

Upon inspection, the police discovered a plastic bag containing methamphetamine in Tuan's pants pocket. During questioning, both confessed that, prior to their arrest, they had agreed to each contribute 200,000 VND to buy drugs for personal use. Tuan then called Vo Thi Hoai Thuong (born in 1986), residing in the Processing Block, Quang Phong Ward, to inquire about purchasing drugs and arranged to meet at the Thai Hoa Bus Station area, Hoa Hieu Ward.

During the investigation, the town's police issued an arrest warrant for Thuong and seized one package of methamphetamine, weighing 5 grams.

It is known that Vo Thi Hoai Thuong's husband, Nguyen Khac Minh (25 years old), is currently serving a prison sentence at Prison No. 6 (Ministry of Public Security). He was arrested by the police in 2012 for illegally trafficking narcotics. Vo Thi Hoai Thuong herself is raising a young child (under 36 months old), so she was released on bail by the investigating agency.

Currently, the Thai Hoa town police are continuing their investigation.
