The owner of the Mami Fashion Maternity Dress fanpage has come to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information to work on the false information posted on the fanpage about African swine fever. Accordingly, the owner of this Facebook account may be administratively fined 20 million VND.

A representative of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that on the afternoon of March 11, the owner of the fanpage Mami Fashion Maternity Dress, Nguyen Thi Minh Nghia, had a working session with the Department regarding the information about African swine fever that this person posted according to the invitation to work sent by the Department earlier.

It is known that at this meeting, the account owner - Ms. Minh Nghia admitted and clearly recognized the harmful effects of providing inaccurate information about African swine fever.

After public reaction, on March 4, the Mami Fashion Maternity Dress fanpage removed this content and sent information to partners informing them that the posted content about African swine fever being transmitted to humans was not true.

The Mami Fashion Maternity Dress Fanpage also posted an apology letter to followers on this page about information related to African swine fever that caused confusion among readers.

During the working session with the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, the owner of this fanpage also fully received the information, proactively took measures to remedy the consequences and came to work on time, signed the minutes admitting the violations, and accepted the administrative penalty.

The Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information will also soon issue a decision on administrative penalties for posting false information about African swine fever on the Mami Fashion Maternity Dress fanpage. According to current regulations, the highest fine for such behavior is 20 million VND.

According to this document, in order to effectively prevent and control African swine fever, both protecting production and promoting the consumption of safe pork products, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requests the Ministry of Information and Communications to strengthen inspection and strictly handle false information posted to avoid causing panic in society.

Immediately after the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development sent a document requesting the Ministry of Information and Communications to strictly handle those who posted inaccurate information about African swine fever, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) sent an invitation to the owner of the Facebook account Dam Bau Mami to work to clarify the posted false information about African swine fever.

Through initial verification, this is a fashion store in Hanoi, located at 21 Dai La, Truong Dinh Ward, Hai Ba Trung District; 39 Cau Giay, Quan Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District; and 274 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan District.
