Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee gives gifts to poor households in Tan Ky

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the program of assigning to help poor communes of the province, on the morning of October 17, the Party Committee of Nghe An Province's Business Bloc gave gifts to poor households in Huong Son commune, Tan Ky district.

Attending the gift-giving ceremony were comrade Dao Quang Nghi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Business Party Committee, representatives of the Propaganda Department of the Business Party Committee and a number of affiliated businesses.

Huong Son Commune was assigned by the Provincial Business Agency Party Committee to help since 2012. It is a remote commune, about 15 km from the center of Tan Ky town, with 1,650 households of 3 ethnic groups (Kinh, Thai, Tho) living in 14 hamlets. In recent years, people's lives and incomes have been improved. However, the commune is still a particularly difficult commune, with 299 poor households, accounting for 20.9% of the total number of households.

In 2015, the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc donated 4 breeding cows, each cow worth 15 million VND and the breeding fee worth 200,000 VND/cow; 10 gifts for poor students, each worth 1 million VND. Previously, according to the assignment of the Provincial People's Committee, the Party Committee of the Bloc had donated 9 breeding cows to poor households. On average, each year, the Party Committee of the Bloc donated gifts worth about 100 million VND.
