Defeating the Oman U17 Team, Vietnam U17 confidently heads towards the Asian Finals

The Vietnam U17 team continued to show stable performance when defeating Oman U17, coach Cristiano Roland and his team confidently entered the journey to conquer the 2025 AFC U17 Finals.

On the morning of March 29, the Vietnam U17 team had a rematch with Oman U17 in preparation for the 2025 AFC U17 Championship Finals.

Compared to the previous friendly match, the Vietnam U17 team showed a more positive performance as the players gradually got used to the competition conditions and the coaching staff's tactics. Coach Cristiano Roland continued to rotate the squad to evaluate the players' performance before finalizing the official list for the U17 Asian Cup finals.

Entering the match, the Vietnam U17 team continued to have a solid game and created a number of notable opportunities, including Duy Khang's shot that went wide of the post in the 37th minute. The home team, Oman U17, also had a chance in the 65th minute when they put the ball into the net after a rebound, but the referee did not recognize the goal due to an offside error.

Unlike the first leg, U17 Vietnam played confidently, controlled the ball better and had many diverse attacking options. In the 69th minute, Le Tan Dung took advantage of a mistake by the Oman defense to score, bringing a minimal 1-0 victory for U17 Vietnam.

Thus, coach Cristiano Roland and his team completed the friendly match series with Oman with a perfect record, without conceding any goals.

Right after the rematch with Oman, U17 Vietnam moved to Saudi Arabia to enter the final preparation stage before officially competing in the 2025 AFC U17 Championship Finals.

In the group stage, U17 Vietnam is in a difficult group when facing strong opponents including U17 Australia (22:00 April 4), U17 Japan (22:00 April 7) and U17 UAE (22:00 April 10). The team's goal is to pass the group stage, thereby winning a ticket to the 2025 U17 World Cup.
