Defeating Real Madrid, Barca won the 2017 ICC Cup in the US
American fans were delighted with the "super classic" match that took place at the 2017 ICC Cup (in Miami), when Barca defeated Real Madrid (RM) with a score of 3-2 after 90 dramatic minutes.

In addition to the usual heat of a classic confrontation, the focus of this match also lies on Neymar - who is considered to be about to leave Barca after a confrontation with teammate Nelson Semedo a few days ago.
The match had only been going on for a minute when Neymar had to hold his leg in pain and leave the field after a moment of… showing off his personal skills without making contact with anyone. While the Brazilian striker was being treated on the field, Messi shone with a classy solo performance.

Leading 2-0, Barca still played aggressively and their open play made them pay the price in the 13th minute. From the middle, Kovacic broke through bravely, he tricked Pique and then fired a tricky shot to beat goalkeeper Cillessen, shortening the score for RM.

In the 36th minute, RM successfully equalized with a lightning counter-attack, initiated and finished by midfielder Marco Asensio, when he easily finished past goalkeeper Cillessen in a one-on-one situation.
With 4 goals in the first half alone, the match was still full of excitement when entering the second half, Neymar once again shone in the role of creator. From the free kick spot, he sent a pass like a set piece for Pique to rush in and tap the ball in close to the goal, raising the score to 3-2 for Barca.
In the following minutes, RM raised their formation to attack fiercely. Coach Zinedine Zidane's students created countless scoring opportunities but with the excellence of goalkeeper Cillessen, Barca kept a clean sheet in the remaining time to win 3-2.
