The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) saidThe attack targeted vehicles carrying evacuees from the towns of Fuaa and Kafraya. They were evacuated under a deal reached between the government and rebels, according to AFP.
According to the organization's updated figures, the death toll reached 43, including evacuees and several rebel members guarding the transit point in Rashidin, west of Aleppo.
The bombings occurred as thousands of evacuees from the two towns waited to continue their journey to Aleppo, the coastal province of Latakia or the capital Damascus.
More than 5,000 people who lived under siege for more than two years have left the two towns, with 2,200 evacuated yesterday from the rebel-held towns of Madaya and Zabanadi.
