List of agricultural products supported by VietGAP
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has just issued a list of agricultural and aquatic products eligible for certain support policies for the application of Good Agricultural Practices in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.

The list of agricultural and aquatic products eligible for support includes: Crop products such as vegetables, fruits, tea, coffee, pepper, and rice; Livestock products such as pigs, poultry, waterfowl, dairy cows, and bees; and Aquatic products such as catfish, tiger shrimp, whiteleg shrimp, and tilapia.
Agricultural and aquatic products are selected for inclusion in the list of supported products when they have a National Technical Standard on food safety conditions during production and processing, or VietGAP, or other GAP standards, or organic farming standards published by the Ministry of Science and Technology, or other organic farming standards recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. These must also be key products with a domestic or export market.
According to Decision 01/2012/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on some policies supporting the application of Good Agricultural Practices in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, the state budget invests 100% of the funds for basic surveys, topographic surveys, and analysis of soil, water, and air samples to identify concentrated production areas for implementing agricultural, forestry and fisheries production projects applying VietGAP, as approved by competent authorities.
The state budget will support no more than 50% of the total investment capital for the construction and renovation of: roads, irrigation systems, pumping stations, low-voltage electricity, waste treatment systems, and water supply and drainage systems in concentrated production areas to meet VietGAP technical requirements. Funding support will be implemented according to the Regulations on Investment and Construction Management.
In addition, the state budget also supports the training of management staff, technical staff, and agricultural extension officers at all levels; vocational training for rural laborers to apply VietGAP in the production and preliminary processing of safe products; compiling and printing documents and forms for training courses; and providing one-time financial support for hiring certification organizations to assess and issue certificates of safe products…
