List of Song Lam Nghe An players participating in the 2022 season: Regrettable absences

Promoted to the first team since the beginning of the 2019 season, but up to this point, the player from Thai Hoa town has not played a single minute in the V.League or the National Cup. In fact, last season, Le Thanh Lam had to wear the Dak Lak shirt, on loan.

Despite his excellent performance in the 2021 National First Division, the 2021 National U21 Championship and currently being a member of the Vietnam U23 team, Le Thanh Lam was still removed from the list of players participating in the new season by coach Nguyen Huy Hoang. This was a very surprising decision by the coaching staff of Song Lam Nghe An.

Currently, Le Thanh Lam is in Cambodia with the U23 Vietnam team preparing to compete in the 2022 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, taking place in the capital Phnom Penh from February 14 to 26. Most likely, the central defender currently on the payroll of Song Lam Nghe An will be highly valued by coach Dinh The Nam.

2. Nguyen Van Duc

Unlike Le Thanh Lam, the reason why Nguyen Van Duc is not in the Song Lam Nghe An squad for the 2022 season is due to injury. Due to not being able to recover in time, the player nicknamed Duc "Ozil" had to accept missing the first stage of this year's season.

Once considered a promising midfielder of the Song Lam Nghe An training center, unfortunately, the player from Quynh Luu is often tormented by injuries. It is understandable why while his teammates of the same age have become pillars of their hometown team, typically Tran Dinh Tien, Nguyen Van Duc only hangs around the medical room.

3. Tran Ngoc Anh

Similar to Duc "Ozil", injury has robbed the player from Nam Dan of the opportunity to wear the Song Lam Nghe An shirt to participate in the 2022 season. It is known that it will take about 1 month for Tran Ngoc Anh to return to normal training. Therefore, the coaching staff of Song Lam Nghe An was forced to temporarily remove the striker born in 1999.

It is almost certain that Song Lam Nghe An will let Tran Ngoc Anh leave Vinh Stadium on loan, just like last season. Don't forget, in the 2021 National First Division, Tran Ngoc Anh played quite impressively for Dak Lak. According to statistics, the 23-year-old striker scored 2 goals for the Buon Ma Thuot Stadium team.

With a very "unusual" left leg, Tran Ngoc Anh is considered the future of Song Lam Nghe An, along with Thai Ba Sang, Ho Khac Luong, Ho Van Cuong, Dinh Xuan Tien, Nguyen Van Bach... As long as he continues to learn and accumulate experience, Tran Ngoc Anh will have an official position in the attack of the Nghe An team in the near future.
