List of U23 Vietnam to play Myanmar without SLNA players
(Baonghean.vn) - To prepare for the international friendly match with U23 Myanmar taking place in Phu Tho on June 7, the coaching board has decided to call up 30 players to the list of U23 Vietnam team.
Notably, the list includes players who played for Vietnam U23 at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship - Changzhou - China, such as goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, defender Nguyen Thanh Chung, midfielder Truong Van Thai Quy and Nguyen Trong Dai.
Besides, the faces with excellent performances in the 3-match winning streak of U23 Vietnam in the recent 2020 U23 Asian Qualifiers such as Trieu Viet Hung, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Ho Tan Tai, ... also continue to receive trust.

Just like last time, the list of the U23 Vietnam team did not see the presence of any SLNA players (except for Pham Duc Thong who is currently playing for Pho Hien Club under a loan contract). Players like Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh of the Nghe An team are all too old to participate in the 30th SEA Games at the end of the year.
According to the plan, the Vietnam U23 team will gather on June 2. The team will practice in Hanoi until June 5 or June 6 and then move to Phu Tho to prepare for a friendly match with the Myanmar U23 team on June 7. Before that, on June 4, the team will have a test match to test the lineup and personnel against the Viettel blue team.
Because Coach Park Hang-seo is busy with the national team competing in the King's Cup in Thailand at the same time, Assistant Kim Han-yoon will be given temporary authority to lead the U23 Vietnam team. The friendly match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Myanmar will take place at 8:00 p.m. on June 7, 2019 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho Province.
