Ky Son stone digging costs from several million to several tens of millions of dong.

These days, in the Ky Son mountain town area, hundreds of stone peach trees are being transported by local people to sell during Tet. With their own appeal, stone peach trees are favored by the market, with prices ranging from several million to several tens of million VND.

Mr. Lau Ba Cho in Huoi Tu commune, Ky Son district said: "My family has more than 30 peach trees in the fields and home garden. Of which, about half can be harvested for sale. From mid-December until now, every day I have transported 1-2 trees to Muong Xen town to sell to customers, earning money for Tet shopping. This year, the peach trees bloomed later, many new trees have just started to bud, so we can celebrate Tet longer, so we are also supported by the people". Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh, a trader in Muong Xen town, said: Every year I go to the highland communes to buy stone peach trees to sell to customers from the lowlands. On average, I buy 10-20 peach trees from the people every day, then put them on trucks and gather them in Muong Xen town to resell to customers. Because the peach trees arrived late, while traders bought a lot, they were easy to sell, the lowest branches cost from 1 - 4 million VND, with some branches costing tens of millions of VND.
