'Kong: Skull Island' director to be chosen as Vietnam tourism ambassador
On the afternoon of March 9, the Council for Appointment, Dismissal and Removal of Vietnam Tourism Ambassadors for the 2017-2020 term of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism voted 100% in agreement to submit to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to appoint director Jordan Vogt-Roberts as Vietnam Tourism Ambassador for the 2017-2020 term.
It is expected that if appointed by Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien as Vietnam Tourism Ambassador, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will be invited to receive the decision on March 13, at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the immediate task is to come up with a work plan and specific tasks for the director of the film Kong: Skull Island in his position as a Vietnamese Tourism Ambassador.
“The good news is that director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has volunteered to be Vietnam’s tourism ambassador. Hopefully, with the impact of the blockbuster Kong: Skull Island, Vietnam’s tourism will attract more foreign tourists,” said the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
If approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will be the first foreign artist to become Vietnam Tourism Ambassador.
According to the Regulations on Appointment, dismissal, standards, activities, rights, obligations and responsibilities of Vietnam Tourism Ambassador, it is clearly stated: "Vietnam Tourism Ambassador is an honorary title appointed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to individuals who meet the appropriate conditions for the work of propaganda, promotion and promotion of the image of Vietnam tourism.
