This is the debut film of director Hoang Nam, who was born in 1984 and owns a YouTube channel.Challenge MeWith over 4 million subscribers, Hoang Nam spent 10 years as a YouTuber before venturing into film. His videos primarily focus on mysterious, rarely visited, and abandoned locations such as Thuy Tien Lake Park, Lac Hong Vien Cemetery, and the enigmatic forest at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan... or exploring the unique culture and cuisine of Vietnam.

Hoang Nam's YouTube channel attracts viewers not only with its unique content but also with his expressive, somewhat mystical storytelling style. Furthermore, the director, born in the 1980s, doesn't hesitate to trek through mountains and streams to discover little-known locations in Vietnam.
In a livestream three years ago, Hoang Nam shared that he only spends a few days a month at home because he's mostly out filming. Besides that, the channel owner...Challenge MeHe also admitted that he faced considerable pressure when creating content on digital platforms. "The content for my channel is very difficult to produce. While other channels can make several episodes in a day, my content requires traveling long distances and is very expensive," he said. Furthermore, Hoang Nam affirmed that most of his videos are unscripted and completely spontaneous. Therefore, there are times when he doesn't have time to prepare suitable clothing or equipment when filming in locations with challenging terrain.

After stopping his YouTube work to focus on developing his film career, director Hoang Nam revealed he faced many difficulties. He recounted: "A month before filming began, I received threatening messages saying that I wouldn't be able to release the film and they would make it a failure. When I received that message, I was utterly shocked and bewildered because I was working with passion, so why would I receive such negative energy? During that time, I was under immense pressure, unable to eat or sleep." After calmly considering the situation, Hoang Nam explained that the problem didn't stem from him but from a member of his crew and a partner company. He then decided to postpone filming to resolve the issue.
On the other hand, at the film's premiere, director Hoang Nam emphasized that he makes films out of passion and without pressure for box office success. "Regarding box office revenue, if the film is well-received, that's a natural consequence. But for me, that's not my goal. Because I don't prioritize revenue, I don't choose filmmaking formulas to achieve box office success like many other colleagues in the market. I choose to invest in quality and dedicate myself to art. Simultaneously, I also select actors who are well-suited to their roles and share the same spirit as the director, which is to give their all to win over the audience," he revealed.
