Dig up a sweet potato weighing 4.5kg

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 25, Mr. Vi Van Ninh in Bai Xa village, Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong) dug up a sweet potato weighing 4.5 kg.

Mr. Ninh said that, taking advantage of his day off from work, he and his wife went to the garden to dig up rows of potatoes to replant. When cutting the potato vines before digging, Mr. Ninh saw a potato floating on the ground. Feeling something was wrong, he used his hands to dig it up, and after a while, the potato gradually appeared.

Bringing the potato up, Mr. Ninh quickly brought it inside to weigh it and could not believe it when it weighed 4.5kg. Mr. Ninh said, "My family planted this potato garden last September, using only manure and no growth stimulants. Up until now, I have never seen or dug up such a big sweet potato." In addition to the rare big potato, Mr. Tuan also dug up many larger potatoes than usual.

Since he dug up this "giant" sweet potato, his family has been bustling with people coming to see and take pictures of the rare sweet potato.
