Digging a tunnel to steal nearly 2 billion VND worth of phone components

6 people drilled and dug tunnels to steal more than 1,000 phone components from the factory warehouse.

Viet Yen District Police, Bac Giang Province, has just prosecuted Pham Quang Thanh, Nguyen Thanh Vinh and 4 defendants to investigate the act of property theft.

Having worked at an electronics company in Viet Yen district, Vinh understood the security guard's patrol rules, so within a month, he and his accomplices drilled and dug more than 6 meters of tunnel from the warehouse to the company next door that had stopped operating.

According to the accusation, the group of thieves smuggled more than 1,000 phone components (total value of nearly 2 billion VND) out through this route.

After selling the exhibits for more than one billion VND, the group fled to Quang Ninh, Kien Giang, Da Nang and cut off contact.

Authorities said that drills, more than 50 pairs of gloves and many other items were seized from the tunnel... Among the suspects, two are brothers./.
