The way of a teacher is to take virtue as a warning to oneself.
(Baonghean) - Our nation has always valued education. Respecting teachers is a tradition, a morality, a beautiful spiritual culture that has existed since ancient times, inherited and preserved by successive generations of Vietnamese people. I don't know how many countries in the world have set aside a day for the whole society to honor teachers! I also don't know where teachers are ranked among the sages, honored and worshiped along with kings like teacher Chu Van An - Teacher of all generations (Van the su bieu).
Needless to say, teachers always have an extremely important position in everyone's life. "Without a teacher, you will never succeed!" Every Vietnamese knows that saying by heart. The teaching profession is always respected by society, considered "the noblest of all noble professions". Because no matter where, when, whether now the country is developed, life is comfortable, or in the past when war was chaotic, life was hard, food was not enough, clothes were not intact, teachers are always respected by society and their achievements are recognized, and they are loved by students.
Teachers not only teach letters, but also teach people how to be human. The motivation of a teacher is always linked to specific goals and tasks according to the needs of society, meeting the interests of the people, for the pursuit of happiness for people. Uncle Ho once said: "A good teacher is the most glorious person. Good teachers are unsung heroes".

That is to say, to see the extremely important role of teachers in society. Respect for teachers is unconditional. “One word from a teacher is worth half a word from a teacher” has become the principle of life for students. In the eyes of students, teachers are always a mirror, a “shining example” for students to follow.
That is a shining example of moral qualities, knowledge, talent, and the spirit of self-study and self-improvement. In other words, teachers - those who work in the teaching profession - are always considered exemplary models of "Heart", "Talent" and "Virtue" in the eyes of students, and are examples of personality to society.
However, along with the development of life, society now has many changes, some cultural and ethical values have shown signs of deviation, which has more or less affected the feelings and perceptions of teachers.
Never before have the stories of the education sector been dissected and criticized as much as they are now. Never before has the image and position of teachers been so “distorted”, even pitiful, as some manifestations have been recently.
Every day, opening newspapers and social networks, mixed in with the chaos of life filled with negative information, dark aspects of morality, character, and lifestyle of people in the money-driven era, the names of some teachers have appeared. From the classroom to the family and out into the social environment. Whatever people have, it seems that teachers have too. There are both good and bad things.
Although it is known that most teachers always uphold their self-respect, and in the face of life's temptations, always maintain their qualities and professional skills to be worthy of the trust, love, and respect of their students, and the appreciation of society. But with the number of 139 teachers violating the law in 2015, and 775 people in the past 5 years in the whole province being disciplined at different levels, including some being prosecuted before the law for violating the law, it is enough to see that the story has reached a worrying level.
From violence against students, to complicated financial relationships, personal debauchery, moral degradation, even involvement in social evils, drug addiction… everything is there. No wonder that nowadays, in the eyes of the world, the image of some teachers is somewhat faded compared to before.
It is true that teachers are also human beings. And as humans, they have to dress, spend money, interact with friends and society; and feel joys, anger, sorrows, and joys like everyone else. However, teaching is a special profession with the only target being students and parents, using only one means: knowledge, ethics, and personality of the teacher himself.
Anyone who has entered this profession must know how to discipline themselves to live differently. Not to the point of being stoic, but being sloppy, indulgent, and flirtatious is not possible. Teachers also need money to take care of themselves and their families, but if money is the goal of life, then teaching is the wrong profession. The nobility of the teaching profession is inherently an ethical standard that anyone entering this profession must know how to take pride in, and make it a commandment to live better than normal. Someone once said that, to be a teacher, one must know how to sacrifice to devote oneself to the cause of sowing letters, cultivating people, so that one's work can nurture fragrant flowers and bear sweet fruit for life.
Teachers use “Talent” to teach students, use “Virtue” to educate, convince students with their own noble personality. Those who cannot do that will be shunned by society, eliminated by life!
