According to Minister and Chairman of the Government's Ethnic Committee Do Van Chien, developing education is the shortest way to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and reduce the gap between the national average. Teachers working at ethnic boarding schools have the special task of being both teachers and parents, contributing to the cause of education and ethnic work. Therefore, it requires cadres and teachers to be both professionally competent and knowledgeable about the customs and practices of ethnic minorities.
The Minister also reminded students that studying and training at school is a blessing and happiness, because according to statistics, only 8% of students from ethnic minority areas study at ethnic boarding schools.
