To help cadres and soldiers grasp the position and significance of the congress, units opened a propaganda column about the 12th Congress on the internal radio system, raised vigilance, proactively, sensitively, and resolutely fought to defeat the "peaceful evolution" plots and tricks of hostile and reactionary forces; effectively prevented "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", and firmly maintained the Party's ideological position in the entire military service...

In the naval modernization strategy, officers and soldiers of the brigade are comprehensively trained, quick-witted, good at foreign languages ​​and information technology, ensuring good communication with ships operating at sea; connecting joint patrols between the Vietnam People's Navy and navies of countries in the region; ready to participate in flood prevention and control, search and rescue; contributing to ensuring absolute safety for delegations of the Party, State, army, service and locality visiting, inspecting and encouraging soldiers on islands and platforms... On this occasion, the task of maintaining communication from the mainland to remote islands in any circumstances is carried out by officers and soldiers of the brigade with the highest responsibility...
