The 2025 high school graduation exam took place on June 26-27 with a huge scale of more than 1.16 million candidates participating. This number represents a significant increase compared to previous years, reflecting the trend of expanding educational opportunities for people.

Of the total number of candidates, nearly 1.14 million candidates are studying the new 2018 general education program, accounting for an overwhelming proportion. There are only more than 26,700 candidates following the old 2006 program, mainly students who have not graduated or need to retake the exam for university admission.

Apart from the Literature subject, which is an essay subject that is graded in two independent rounds to ensure objectivity, all other multiple-choice subjects are graded by computer with specialized software provided by the Ministry of Education and Training. This helps increase accuracy and minimize errors in the grading process.

Provinces and cities across the country are in the process of finalizing the exam marking process and are expected to announce the results on the morning of July 16. This is considered the most important "G hour" for millions of candidates and their families.

After knowing the exam scores, candidates have 10 days to submit a request for review if needed, from July 16 to July 25. This is the last chance for candidates to adjust their exam results if errors are discovered during the marking process.

Particularly important, candidates wishing to enter university will be able to register and adjust their wishes an unlimited number of times on the Ministry's common system from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
