Timely response to clean water needs during Lunar New Year

Previously, the dependence on the Dao River water source and the unstable power grid system affected the production and water supply tasks of Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company, especially during the Lunar New Year - the peak season for clean water use by customers in Vinh City and neighboring areas. However, recently, the Company has focused on implementing drastic solutions, coordinating with Song Lam Water Supply Joint Stock Company to bring raw water (taken from Lam River) to ensure safety and stability for Hung Vinh and Cau Bach factories to replace the Dao River water source. Along with that, coordinating with relevant levels and sectors to implement the work of ensuring stable power sources... Therefore, in Vinh City and neighboring areas, there is no shortage of clean water and during the peak period of the Lunar New Year.

After completing the project to upgrade Hung Vinh Water Plant (with funding from the Asian Development Bank - ADB) to a capacity of 60,000 m3/day, with clean water production technology, the city's water supply network system was also renovated. At the same time, the water supply project in the vicinity of Vinh City with ODA funding from the Finnish Government was completed and put into operation, greatly supporting the provision of clean water to people in Vinh City.
Currently, in Vinh City, there is a total length of water supply pipelines of more than 800 km (pipe diameter from D32 - D600), from which this system has met the needs of about 80,000 households using clean water. However, in the water supply pipeline network of Vinh City, there are about 250 km built and installed before 2006 (of which some water supply pipelines for residential areas were invested and installed by the people and customers themselves) have degraded and need to be replaced to limit water loss and affect water quality.

To meet the people's need for clean water during the 2018 Lunar New Year, Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company has invested in construction, renovation of the pipeline network and expansion of the water supply network to important areas lacking clean water, according to the people's wishes and needs, such as: Installing D160 pipeline along Hai Thuong Lan Ong street to increase flow and pressure for Hung Loc commune; installing level 3 pipelines for hamlets 1, 2, 12 and 13 Nghi Long; hamlet 12, Nghi Hoa commune; hamlet 6, Nghi Trung commune and interspersed hamlets of communes in the vicinity of Vinh city; water supply pipeline network for hamlets of Hung Chinh commune...

Thanks to the management of the pipeline network system according to the network separation zoning model in Vinh city and surrounding areas, the pipeline network system has been well managed in the past, so incidents on the pipeline network system have been handled promptly.

To meet customer demand, the Enterprise has innovated machine operation, increased water supply hours 24/24 hours a day, ensured sufficient pressure and strictly checked the quality of clean water according to regulations of the Ministry of Health. During Tet, clean water quality is one of the key issues that the Enterprise is concerned about, so along with strengthening inspection and strict supervision in each production process, the Enterprise also fully prepares other essentials to be ready to respond to all situations”.
