Hoang Nguyen Brick Factory is located right at the foot of the mountain in Nghia Dung Commune (Tan Ky). What surprised us was that in less than a year, from the beginning of digging the mountain, making roads, leveling the ground, and constructing the first items, a modern technology factory has sprung up. Then Truong Hai Auto Showroom with a total investment of 70 billion VND, a capacity of 22 million cotto tiles has just come into operation, located on Ho Chi Minh Road, leading the wave of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas in the Western Nghe An region. The capacity of trucks, dump trucks, and trailers is 850 vehicles/year and the largest auto repair shop in the province.

Mr. Pham Van Dang - Deputy Director of Van Minh Dien Chau Company Limited, representing the investor, affirmed that the enterprise has carefully studied the potential to serve 10 districts in the Western region of the province. And moreover, in the communes of Ky Son, Tan Huong, Nghia Hanh... where the nurseries of raw forest tree seedlings of Tan Ky farmers have flourished for decades to serve the forest planting profession of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh provinces, despite the harsh natural climate...

In 2016, Tan Ky district achieved many good results in many fields. Implementing the Action Program according to the Resolution of the 20th District Party Congress, Party committees and authorities at all levels promoted internal strength, competed in production, and legitimately enriched themselves with many outstanding economic models such as bringing large-scale livestock farms to the fields in Nghia Dong commune, raising Australian cows of Kieu Phuong Company Limited, 10 "thousand-chicken" farms, and many pig farms with a scale of over 2,000 pigs.

The support of local authorities helped Song Con Sugar Factory obtain more than 6,000 hectares of raw materials in 2017, with the area of ​​newly planted spring sugarcane reaching 2,400 hectares. This crushing season, due to investment in caring for raw materials, the sugar content was high, the factory achieved 34,000 tons of sugar and finished crushing 1 month earlier than last year. The young sugarcane fields are growing right at the best weather, helping farmers invest in intensive cultivation in time to grow shoots before summer, while sugarcane prices are the highest in the past 5 years.

As an agricultural district, Tan Ky is eager to move towards industrialization and urbanization. According to the adjustment and supplement to the master plan for socio-economic development of Tan Ky district until 2020, which has just been approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the urbanization rate in Tan Ky will reach 10-12% by 2020.

Accordingly, the district will plan 5 bus stations (1 type 3 station, 1 type 5 station and 3 type 6 stations) with a total land area of ​​11,500 m2. They are: Tan Ky town bus station, Tien Ky bus station, Nghia Hanh bus station, Nghia Dung bus station, Tan An bus station. Also according to the plan, it will ensure a stable water supply, collect and treat wastewater to meet environmental standards for urban areas. Upgrade Tan Ky town water plant and connect domestic water supply to Ky Tan and Ky Son communes; build new domestic water supply for communes along Con river; build more water plants such as: Nghia Hoan to reach 10,000 m3/day (day and night) in 2020; Tan An water plant to reach 3,500 m3/day in 2020; Tan Phu water plant to reach 3,500 m3/day in 2020; Nghia Binh water plant reaches 1,500 m3/day by 2020...

Thus, Tan Ky district will accelerate the urbanization, expand and upgrade Tan Ky town - the administrative, economic, cultural, commercial service center of the district; the town's population by 2020 will be about 13,000-14,000 people. At the same time, the construction of 4 towns with approved planning will be implemented, which are Cau Troi town, Ky Son commune; Nghia Dong town, Nghia Dong commune; Nghia Binh town, Nghia Binh commune and Giai Xuan town, Giai Xuan commune.

It is still good news that for the first time at the Spring Dinh Dau Investor Meeting Conference of Nghe An, Tan Ky welcomed 2 large projects for survey, which are the town market project and the Tan Ky District Cultural, Sports, Hotel and Commercial Services Center.

The investor is currently promoting the next steps to prepare for site clearance. These projects, if implemented together with upgrading inner-city roads, will change the appearance of Tan Ky to a new level.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Chairman of Tan Ky District People's Committee said: The district will focus on promoting its existing potential to develop highly competitive products such as bricks and tiles. Concentrate all resources to invest in building a synchronous infrastructure system, especially the traffic system, prioritizing projects to upgrade and expand some inner-city routes, traffic routes into the centers of Tien Ky and Tan Hop communes, and Road 15B Lat - Nghia Hop.

Promoting the application of science and high technology in the development of cultivation and livestock farming such as large-scale fields, corn and sugarcane cultivation, beef cattle farms, dairy cow farms, goat farms... All are opening up new prospects for Tan Ky with the consensus and high concentration of Party committees and local authorities.

In the field of education, the district is directing the construction of national standard schools in 2017; reviewing the progress of construction of Nghia Dong Secondary School, which has been awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period. In terms of culture and sports, many meaningful festivals have been organized, especially the successful organization of Tan Ky Spring Newspaper Festival 2017; directing communes to receive the title of Cultural Village for the period 2015 - 2016, and receiving the Certificate of recognition of meeting new rural standards. The district is also urgently developing a project to develop tourism in Tan Ky district until 2020 and towards 2030 to focus on exploiting the existing potential of the locality.

It is also half a term (2015 - 2020) to be able to evaluate the tasks in the fields of the Congress Resolution so that Tan Ky can continue to learn from experience and make breakthroughs.

In the field of Party building, Tan Ky always focuses on building a strong political system, being a typical example at the grassroots level in innovating the Party's leadership methods such as promulgating and strictly implementing working regulations and coordination regulations, while regularly reviewing and supplementing the implementation process, considering the implementation results as one of the criteria for evaluating cadres. Leadership in the fields of socio-economics, national defense and security, Party building and the political system is in the direction of: choosing key and central issues; seriously reviewing in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII)...
