Stamp set 311: Unified Vietnam(1 model - released in 1976).
During the resistance war against the US, there were two types of revolutionary stamps circulating in two different areas in Vietnam. The stamps "Democratic Republic of Vietnam" issued by the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam were used in the Socialist North; the stamps "Republic of South Vietnam" were issued by the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam and used in the liberated areas in South Vietnam.
Along with the event of the first session of the 6th National Assembly - the joint National Assembly of unified Vietnam (taking place from June 24 - July 3, 1976) - deciding to change the name of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the two lines of Revolutionary stamps of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam merged into one./.
