Imprint of Nghe An Province Women at the 2023 National Women's Folk Dance and Sports Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An women left many impressions when participating in the Competition with 2 events including women's volleyball and badminton, in which they won the "Style Award" in badminton.
The 2023 National Women's Folk Dance and Sports Competition with the theme "Healthy and Beautiful Vietnamese Women" organized by the Vietnam Women's Union in coordination with the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just ended, in which Nghe An women left many good impressions with an extremely enthusiastic competitive spirit.
The competition attracted nearly 1,000 athletes who are cadres and women's union members from 50 provinces, cities and units nationwide. The teams competed in 3 categories: folk dance, badminton and volleyball.
Nghe An Women's Union participated in the competition with 2 events: Women's volleyball and badminton (badminton participated in 2 events: Mixed doubles and women's doubles) with 12 athletes selected from Nghe An women's police, civil servants, officials, members, and women living and working in the province.
The competition had 37 volleyball matches in 8 groups; 136 badminton matches in 8 groups. The athletes of Nghe An Group with non-professional players gave the audience many good matches, many beautiful plays, dramatic matches, showing the spirit of trying, making every effort, and determination for the flag and colors of the province.
At the end of the competition, Nghe An delegation won the "Style Award" in badminton with the women's doubles category over 45 years old.
Along with the Contest, many other activities were organized: Workshop "Eliminate cultural practices that are harmful to health, implement a new cultural lifestyle"; Women's Creative Startup Festival, Building Happy Families in 2023; Forum on the role of women in preserving and promoting the cultural values of OCOP products and preserving traditional industries and professions.
