Diesel price increases, gasoline 'sluggish'
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have just issued a document adjusting retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on December 5.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, only diesel oil increased in price, the rest of the items remained stable. Specifically, the price of RON 92 gasoline was stable at 18,580 VND/liter, E5 gasoline was 18,243 VND/liter, kerosene was 13,617 VND/liter, and fuel oil remained stable at 12,382 VND/kg. Diesel oil alone increased by 150 VND/liter to 15,169 VND/liter.

To keep prices stable, the joint ministry decided to spend the stabilization fund on gasoline at 583 VND, E5 gasoline at 604 VND, diesel at 388 VND, kerosene at 485 VND, and fuel oil at 239 VND.
The Joint Ministry requested that key petroleum units post price changes before 3:00 p.m. on December 5.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of finished petroleum products in the world in the 15 days before December 5 remained stable at 73.284 USD/barrel of RON 92 gasoline; 74.231 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel; 74.649 USD/barrel of kerosene...
Previously, in the operating period on November 20, RON 92 gasoline increased by 434 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increased by 385 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S increased by 408 VND/liter; Kerosene increased by 419 VND/liter; Mazut 180CST 3.5S increased by 473 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have undergone 22 adjustments, including 9 price increases, 9 price decreases, and 4 price unchanged.
