Auction of table and chair set made from 12,500 East Sea shells
This is the table and chair set that Ms. Truong My Hoa, former Vice President of Vietnam, Chairwoman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, brought to the auction to celebrate "Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day October 13".
According to Ms. Hoa, the auction of products at the "National Entrepreneurs and Enterprises 2015" conference aims to raise funds for scholarships for poor children in remote areas, especially those on remote islands. In addition, this is also an activity to promote the business community to be more responsible to society.

Initially, the starting price of the product was only 30 million VND, but with the participation of hundreds of businesses, it was quickly raised tenfold. Finally, after nearly an hour of auction, the product was owned by a businessman specializing in tea and coffee production in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City for 568 million VND.
The table and chair set above includes a table and 2 chairs (large and small), made by artisans in one year from 12,500 shells from the East Sea arranged into flowers and winding dragons. In particular, the base of the table and chair set is a collection of 12 dragons symbolizing luck and strength. This is a gift from a businessman specializing in exporting goods to the US to Vu A Dinh Fund and is also the only remaining table and chair set in Vietnam because before that, this businessman had exported 10 sets to the US market.
In addition to the successful auction of the above product, this fund also received more than 200 million VND from 3 other businesses at the conference.
